Lander County updates business-license fees, adds annual cannabis license

Commissioners discussed the distinction between permanent licenses and temporary, event-based permits and confirmed the change increases the general business license fee from $50 to $75 while establishing a set annual fee for cannabis businesses. The board approved the resolution by motion.
Shelby said temporary licenses are used for short events at parks or the Civic Center and are intended for out-of-county businesses participating in an event. The board directed staff to implement the revised fee schedule and confirmed that event coordinators remain responsible for sales-tax collection procedures.
