The Hamilton County Parks & Recreation Board on June 15 approved its proposed 2027 budget as presented, voting unanimously to move the plan forward pending any required Auditor or County Council amendments. Director Chris Stice told the Board the packet contained the budget finalized per County Council direction and formally requested approval.
Stice also reviewed the Department’s finances: a beginning cash balance on May 18, 2026 of $4,353,277.63; revenue through June 15, 2026 of $3,169,700.21 (including the spring advance of property and excise taxes); payroll to be approved of $331,220.33; and claims presented of $200,799.30, leaving an ending cash balance of $6,990,958.21. Vice President Larry Roudebush moved approval of the 2027 budget and Dr. Judith Campbell seconded; the motion carried on a unanimous vote.
