Nobles County awards $3.01M contract for CSAH 47/14 reconstruction, approves LRIP funding agreement

Bids for Contract 26001 (CSAH 47 & 14 reconstruction) were opened Dec. 16; Nobles County awarded the contract to the lowest responsible bidder, R and G Construction Co., for $3,009,967.42. The work includes reconstructing rural sections near the Brewster bean plant and overlaying the urban portion of CSAH 14 in town.
To offset county obligation for eligible construction items, the board approved MnDOT Agreement No. 1061708 under the State’s Local Road Improvement Program (LRIP); LRIP funding is capped at $1.5 million for eligible construction items, the minutes state.
