Turner recognizes Students of the Month; superintendent highlights end-of-year activities

At the May 11 meeting the board recognized three Students of the Month: elementary student Callen Holland, middle-school student Kamdyn Kinslow and high-school student Aubrey Banks. The recognitions were recorded as part of the regular agenda under the Superintendent’s report and announcements.
In the superintendent’s report district staff noted end-of-year events including the FFA banquet, sports banquet and awards assemblies. The minutes state that "One of the Freshman students, Knox phipps placed 3rd in discuss at the state track meet." Mrs. Claborn also offered thanks to the board for her time at Turner, stating she "loved it here." The minutes also note Mr. Eakins will transition into the principal position.
