Inspections report improving clarity in Lake Menard and Fish Hook; localized green growth persists

Board members reported recent canal inspections and generally positive observations for several waterways. Susan (S3) and others noted Lake Menard "looks lovely" with good clarity and Fish Hook described as "better than I've ever seen it," and members said they could see fish from shore in places where water clarity has improved. Several canals still show green material or filamentous vegetation in patches, but participants said those areas do not currently appear to be harmful algal blooms.
Members agreed to continue photo documentation during inspections, to coordinate with monitoring schedules and to flag any sites that may need sampling kits or contractor testing going forward. The inspection reports will inform priorities for treatments and monitoring locations to be shared with the consultant and staff.
