The board received an update that FEMA and Vermont Emergency Management are closing a buyout for the LATS property at 2165 Vermont Route 100, damaged in the July 2023 storm. "Very shortly after that, you'll see, request for proposals to undertake the demolition," the chair said, adding the town will own the property and restrict it to public use after demolition.
The chair asked contractors who previously bid for town demolitions to monitor the town website and paper for the forthcoming request for proposals; town staff will handle the procurement and demolition contract process once the buyout transaction closes.
