Jason Cass, introduced by the chair as a Jamaica resident and former planning-commission member, said he has followed planning work in town and accepted the temporary role. The appointment was made at the start of the meeting to ensure the town has representation for any urgent matters before the annual town meeting. The board did not record individual roll‑call votes in the transcript; members expressed unanimous assent by voice vote.
