Union City Board voids earlier pest-bid vote, then awards cafeteria pest contract to Turf Control & Beyond

At the Aug. 14 special meeting, the Union City Board of Education first voted to void its July 14, 2025 vote regarding the cafeteria pest bid and then considered new procurement. Board member Laura Reed moved to void the earlier vote; Lindsey Garrett seconded the motion and the board voted 4–0 to void the prior action.
After voiding the prior vote the board accepted the lowest and only bid from Turf Control & Beyond to provide pest-control services for the cafeteria for the 2025–2026 school year. Laura Reed moved to accept the bid and Lindsey Garrett seconded; the motion passed 4–0. The minutes do not include contract value or term length beyond the 2025–2026 school year.
