Public works staff (S5) told the council that paving at the 1515 Sunset Ave. fire and rescue station is planned once asphalt arrives, with interior paving scheduled first and exterior work pending weather conditions. The update also noted an engineer meeting to finalize Merriman acres work, completion steps for natural-gas installations, and an RFP for an agricultural lease on a former city parcel with showings scheduled and interest reported.
"It will start on the inside of the fire station and work their way out hopefully after sunset slows down a little bit with the food pantry and everything on Wednesday," S5 said when describing the paving schedule. Staff added that the RFP for the agricultural parcel is posted on the city website and due back to City Hall on a date noted in the packet.
