Hanover DSS dashboard shows near-standard timeliness and rising CSA costs through May 2026

Staff reviewed the Hanover County Social Services dashboard for May 2026 data, highlighting benefits timeliness metrics, Child Protective Services contact timeliness, permanency measures and CSA spending. Slides show benefit program timeliness near the department standard (97%) and specific counts for SNAP, TANF, Medicaid applications and renewals. The dashboard lists 63 children/youth in foster care and several placement categories with counts (for example, 10 foster homes, 8 residential/group home placements).
The CSA dashboard data show FY26 YTD through May totals of $9,786,157 and per-unduplicated-youth average expense of $55,289 YTD. Historical fiscal-year expense trends (FY21–FY25) and MOS average expense figures were also included in the slides shared with the board.
