Alex Bower of Civil Concepts & Development asked the council to approve a previously missed variance for the People's Savings Bank building. The canopy for the ATM lane exceeds the allowable overhang setback on the east side; Bower requested a 10½-foot variance to allow the canopy up to 9½ feet from the east property line while noting the canopy columns comply with setback rules.
Councilmember Dale Wambold moved to approve the 10½-foot variance; Pease seconded the motion and the council voted 5–0 to grant the variance. The action permits the canopy placement as described and the minutes note the columns themselves are within setback requirements.
