Washington Regional highlights trauma growth and new simulation center in 75th-anniversary year

Committee members pressed on ambulance diversions and labor-and-delivery capacity in the region; Dr. Campbell said trauma, stroke and cardiovascular care are prioritized and offered to follow up if diversion reporting differs from hospital status. He also noted telehealth is used selectively, primarily when weather or access issues would otherwise prevent patient visits.
