Chairman Jeff Kreger told the board that a $7,030 quote from J & J Custom Fire Inc. would fund a new water tank, pump transfer, lighting upgrades, backup camera installation, painting and related equipment for the River Road Fire Department. Commissioner Shane Jones moved to approve the quote and the motion carried unanimously.
District Attorney Brian Hermanson reviewed the contract structure and "stated he had no concerns about the division of labor costs, explaining that the labor charges served different purposes." The board record notes that no single line item exceeded $2,500, though labor costs were split across two line items.
