The Board of County Commissioners of Kay County met in Newkirk on June 22, 2026, and approved a series of routine contracts, resolutions and emergency-preparedness agreements. Chairman Jeff Kreger, Vice-Chairman Jason Shanks and Commissioner Shane Jones conducted the 9:00 a.m. session, which included approvals of technology contracts for county offices and interlocal mutual-aid pacts with neighboring jurisdictions.
Among the actions, the board approved an IT support agreement for the Assessor’s Office with AF3 Technical Solutions, LLC covering 7-1-2026 through 6-30-2027, and a software and service agreement between KellPro, Inc. and the County Clerk’s Office for the same period. The commissioners also approved interlocal emergency-aid agreements with the Lake Blackwell Trust Authority, Town of Braman, City of Tonkawa and City of Blackwell after recent flooding; DA Brian Hermanson approved these agreements as to form.
