City administrator Neil told the council staff hopes to get the inspector on site "as early as next week," saying the sooner the assessment is completed the quicker meaningful conversations with the school district can occur. "So we're gonna try to keep again, obviously, the sooner we have that information, the the faster or at least more the more meaningful conversations we'll be able to have," Neil said.
Council moved, seconded and approved the item by voice vote; the clerk recorded ayes. The inspection contract is intended to inform negotiations and evaluate the building’s condition before any further city action.
