She reported a 2024 MIPS (Merit Based Incentive Payment System) bonus of $10,373 for family practice and said the clinics expect a 2025 payment in the coming months.
Dawn identified a drop in visit volumes between 2024 and 2025 after a physician and APP resigned and another APP was on leave; she said recruitment remains challenging, citing housing and candidate choices as barriers. She described clinic needs including more space, replacement exam tables, and two EKG machines, and outlined the new 12o6b clinic committee and charter that will provide oversight and recommendations for staffing, equipment and policies.
Board members asked follow-up questions about measurement definitions (Medicare applicability for certain metrics), staffing capacity at the new internal medicine practice, and potential foundation support for equipment purchases.
