Community Development staff informed commissioners that Pacifica's short-term rental ordinance will be reviewed by the California Coastal Commission on Aug. 12 in Scotts Valley with an online participation option; Coastal Commission staff had recommended significant modifications and staff is preparing a response.
A city official also announced a special City Council meeting Wednesday at 6 p.m. to consider a proposed one-cent sales tax measure for the November ballot, intended for general government uses including fire services and street repairs. Staff said the item was for general awareness and a published staff report would follow for the council item.
