Staff said the district will likely request the contract maximum of $1.8 million this year; the district expects to spend roughly $2.0 million and will cover the remainder according to contract terms. Commissioners asked staff to monitor performance after the staffing change and the district said backups and mutual‑aid arrangements remain in place if demand spikes.
