Jeff Shue described a development proposal on Prospect Street and Church Road in which the property owner proposes removing one house and constructing eight units. Shue said Prospect is a state road and therefore cannot be used for entrance/exit, so the developer must use a local road (Church). He recommended the contractor widen Church "full width to the next property line," which would require moving two utility poles and could include a speed table due to speeding traffic.
The minutes also summarize alternative traffic-control ideas discussed by staff, including adding "NO Left Turn" restrictions onto Prospect and "NO Parking" signs on Church Street, and Jeff suggested not allowing the modification unless the contractor widened the road the entire way and added sidewalk and curbing.
