Josh Parks, representing 424 & 624 Thame Street LLC, told the Newport Zoning Board that a midday Friday change made six off‑site parking spaces at Wellington unavailable to his clients, and he asked the board to continue two pending Thame Street petitions so he could present a revised parking solution. The board approved the continuance and set the next hearing date for January 27, 2025.
Parks said he learned late in the week that Wellington could not rent those spaces and asked for additional time to locate an alternative. Board members agreed it was reasonable to continue the items rather than force an immediate decision without a final parking plan. The continuance was seconded and approved by voice vote; Parks said he expects to present solutions at the January meeting.
