City planner Tiffany Taylor told the commission that approvals for the Home2Suites project have expired and any new application would need to return to the city and likely face a conditional-use review under the 2022 code changes that moved hotel/motel uses in the C-3 zone to conditional use.
Taylor said Paragon has planning, engineering and building approvals ready to issue once the applicant submits fees, while the Moxie hotel (a Hollander hotel development) is active under a developer agreement following a LUBA remand and is currently in plan review with several rounds of building comments to address.
