Emergency Medical Solutions, LLC presented a proposal May 26 for a countywide ambulance service feasibility study that would analyze EMS call data, evaluate service delivery options and include stakeholder engagement through on-site and virtual meetings.
Representative Tim Nowalk told the boards the proposed timeline is approximately six months and the total cost would be $39,750. Nowalk said the firm would bring on an additional consultant at no extra cost. The proposal was discussed alongside a competing offer from Public Consulting Group; no contract award or study authorization was made at the meeting.
The boards indicated they favored moving forward with a feasibility study pending the Floyd County Ambulance Commission ecision next week. Funding authority and final vendor selection were not decided at the May 26 meeting.
