Committee recommends $7,500 ControlNet upgrade for jail women's cell block

The committee reviewed a proposal presented by Maintenance Supervisor Tom Williams to upgrade a rooftop unit in the jail women's cell block. The work would install ControlNet's web‑based open system of Direct Digital Control using Tridium's Niagara N4 framework and relocate the thermostat.
ControlNet's base quote for the RTU upgrade, installation, one year warranty and customer training is $7,500. The committee voted to recommend the ControlNet proposal for approval to be paid from the Capital Improvement Fund; the motion carried unanimously.
ControlNet's quotation (Appendix C) lists scope, assumptions and a 90‑day validity period for the bid. The recommendation is from the committee to the full Board for final contract authorization.
