The Manistee County Ways & Means Committee on April 1 reviewed claiming summaries for March 1–31, 2026, and voted to recommend approval of on‑demand checks, bills and payroll totaling $2,284,439.55. The totals included two accounts-payable runs and ACH payments and payroll of $667,767.90.
Controller/Administrator Lisa Sagala presented the detailed report and the committee moved to place the claims and payroll on file. As recorded in the minutes, "Moved by Schmidt, seconded by Dontz to recommend the approval of the on‑demand checks, bills and payroll, be accepted in the amount of $2,284,439.55; and that the same be placed on file." The motion carried unanimously.
The committee reviewed the fund-by-fund breakdown in Appendix A, which shows major ledger items including the General Fund on‑demand payments of $326,595.82 and airport authority fund activity of $579,783.29. The committee did not amend the totals; the recommendation sends the claims and payroll forward to be placed on file with the Board of Commissioners.
