The commission approved Resolution 26-13 to begin tax-deed processing and review title-abstract bids for delinquent properties, a routine annual step by the treasurer's office. Eric Hoiland said the process begins with order letters to interested parties and that the county will only take deeds for properties that remain unresolved after outreach and required notices.
Hoiland explained the list includes taxes primarily going back to 2022 and said title-abstract bid prices were slightly lower this year. "All of these taxes are going back to the 2022 year," he said, and the treasurer's office will notify lienholders and owners as required. Commissioners approved the resolution 5–0 and directed staff to continue outreach and resolve issues where possible before taking deed.
