Commissioners authorized disposal of a county-owned 1989 tri-axle dump truck that staff said has reached the end of useful life.
A county presenter outlined options including an internet auction estimate (Purple Wave) that might net $4,000–$5,000 with about $3,300 in selling fees, and a local-auction alternative that some commissioners preferred for convenience or negotiation possibilities. A motion passed instructing the appropriate staff to sign the title, proceed with local disposition if feasible, and return proceeds to County General. "Once that sells, the money goes back into county general," the presenter said.
The county will remove the vehicle from capital assets once sold and staff will coordinate sale logistics with the county surveyor’s title listing.
