Steve Collier, the county’s chief deputy surveyor, told the commission that several municipalities lack in-house surveyors and have asked Weber County for help with plat and subdivision review. “Several of the cities in Weber County don't have any surveyors to help them in their plat review process,” Collier said, explaining the county’s role in filling that gap.
Collier said the commission approved the renewal of four intergovernmental agreements today and expects to add two more next month. “Today, we renewed 4 of those agreements,” he said, adding that the arrangements allow the county to assist with subdivision review, road research and right-of-way research and provide an additional check to protect property rights for owners both inside and outside subdivisions.
