Councilor David Pickle said the Broken Arrow City Council awarded a construction contract to Cherokee Pride Construction for the widening of Aspen Avenue between Tucson and Jasper streets. "A construction contract was awarded to Cherokee Pride Construction for the widening of Aspen Avenue between Tucson And Jasper Streets," Pickle said, describing the council action.
The project will expand Aspen Avenue to five lanes and add sidewalks, storm sewer and waterline improvements, along with new signage, striping and pavement markings, Pickle said. Construction is expected to begin in a few months; the council did not provide a contractor start date or a project cost in the recap provided.
