Santee adopts updated Town Center Specific Plan and General Plan amendment

On March 12, 2025, the Santee City Council adopted an updated Town Center Specific Plan (Ordinance 624) and a resolution to amend the General Plan to conform to the plan’s new boundaries and zoning. Planning and Building Director Sandi Sawa presented the plan, answered council questions, and the council voted 5-0 to adopt the ordinance and the related resolution.
City Manager Marlene Best assisted during the presentation. The adopted ordinance replaces the existing Town Center Specific Plan and includes map and zoning amendments as described in the staff report. No further amendments were recorded in the meeting minutes.
