The Santee City Council unanimously approved several construction contracts and related resolutions on March 12, 2025, during its consent calendar. The council adopted Reso 022-2025 to award a contract for the Citywide Storm Drain Trash Diversion (CIP 2025-20) for $273,915 and Reso 023-2025 to award the Citywide Crack Sealing Program 2025 (CIP 2025-03) for $74,470. Council also adopted Reso 025-2025 for ADA Pedestrian Ramp Improvements (CIP 2024-04) for $383,600 and Reso 026-2025 adopting the updated Citizen and Community Participation Plan for HUD-funded programs.
Vice Mayor Rob McNelis moved approval of the consent calendar as amended; Councilmember Dustin Trotter seconded and the motion carried 5-0 (Mayor Minto; Vice Mayor McNelis; Councilmembers Hall, Koval and Trotter). The staff reports were presented by Engineering Director Carl Schmitz. The items were approved as recommended, with standard CEQA exemptions cited in the staff reports.
