Board approves settlement in special-education OAH case

The Santee School District Board announced Sept. 17 that, following closed session, it had approved a settlement in an Office of Administrative Hearings case concerning a student's special education program (OAH No. 2024070229). The Board reconvened at 9:15 p.m. and voted to reach a settlement that includes a release of potential District liability.
The motion to settle was made by Member Elana Levens-Craig and seconded by Member Dianne El-Hajj; the Board approved the settlement by a 4-0 vote. No additional case terms were read into the public record during reconvened open session.
