Board approves IT reorganization; names Matt Marsman IT coordinator

The Santee School District Board approved a reorganization of its Information Technology department on Sept. 17 that eliminates several classified roles, revises job descriptions and creates two new positions, including a Cybersecurity/Network Analyst and a management-level IT Coordinator.
Assistant Superintendent Dr. Lisa Paisley told the Board the reorganization was "analyzed for potential cost savings as well as addressing a Grand Jury report recommendation on cybersecurity." The Board approved the changes and the appointment of Matt Marsman to the IT Coordinator position effective Sept. 18, 2024; Members commended Marsman and he introduced family members in attendance.
