The board reviewed a surplus utility truck identified by the fire department—a 2017 GMC that will be sold at auction on Aug. 21 after a mechanic inspected it. Selectman Matthew Patneaude moved to proceed with the auction/purchase process; Selectman Timothy Derouche seconded and the motion passed 3-0.
Board members said they will develop a policy defining who is authorized to drive the vehicle and which emergency calls the truck may be dispatched to. The board also discussed routine supplies: the fire department will order 30–40 traffic cones and expects a hose cover to arrive in a couple of weeks. The department will appear at the Family Fun Day at the campground on Aug. 23 from noon to 3 p.m.
