At the June 24 meeting the board heard an update from the Fire Department that recalled firefighting foam is being exchanged with the supplier and the department is developing a plan to address equipment expiration dates. Staff said an update on a radio tower meeting will be provided at the next selectmen meeting.
The minutes record that the town received $35,000 from the Stephen King Foundation for fire-department-related purchases. Town staff noted $2,750 will be taken from the capital improvements account to cover part of the order. The minutes list purchased items as four packs, eight bottles and four masks. The board did not record further action beyond acknowledging the grant and accounting for the capital-improvement offset.
