On Building Safety Month, the mayor cited the importance of code officials and noted the city’s ISO ratings and staff certifications. The city secretary staff said the city is fortunate to have three professionally registered municipal clerks. A public works representative thanked council for support and highlighted that public works staff deliver services 24/7 across the city. The Visit McKinney representative noted tourism generated $35,000,000 in local tax revenue in 2025 and supported more than 2,000 hospitality jobs, and thanked council and partners for the proclamation.
Council and staff used the proclamations to publicly recognize staff contributions and community partners; the items were ceremonial and accepted without formal action beyond the proclamations themselves.
