City launches 'Engage McKinney' online platform to expand resident input

City Manager Paul Grimes told the Visit McKinney board that the city has launched an online engagement hub named Engage McKinney to increase resident participation and provide a central place for project updates and surveys.
"Our communications department just launched a new engagement platform called Engage McKinney," Grimes said, noting the platform's first initiative focuses on recycling and waste reduction and that the annual budget survey went live April 21. He said residents can also use the site to explore ongoing projects including road improvements on Dorado and Virginia, the Roy and Helen Hall Library renovation and items from the 2024 bond package.
Grimes encouraged board members to direct residents to the hub for project details and input. He also flagged a joint meeting with the Economic Development Corporation later that day as an opportunity for further community briefings.
