The Union City Board of Education reorganized its leadership Sept. 15, electing Travis Norton as president, Chris Dugger as vice president, Laura Reed as clerk and Lindsey Garrett as deputy clerk. Lindsey Garrett moved to set the officer slate and Laura Reed seconded the motion, which the board approved unanimously.
The action was taken under 70 O.S. 5-119. The board recorded the vote as Yea: 5, Nay: 0 and the signature block on the minutes reflects the newly confirmed officers. The reorganization followed routine roll call and administration of the oath for newly seated member Bailey Smith under 70 O.S. 5-116.
