Chair opened the meeting and turned to department updates, where Martina, a town staff member, gave the finance and recreation update. "We have taken in, 1,463,000, $562 and some change, compared to last year where it's 1,000,319 and $460," Martina said, reporting an approximate $144,000 increase in receipts year over year. She told the committee that legal collections and additional revenue are still incoming.
Martina also summarized summer programming: "We were able to do 7 weeks instead of 6," she said, and noted this year's first-responders day included the police department, the sheriff's department, state highway patrol, Harrison Township fire department and Mid Flight. Council members thanked staff for the program; one member said their children benefited and asked staff to continue outreach. No formal action was taken on the report.
