New HFI coordinator outlines grants, partners and maternal-child work

She said St. Martin's Healthcare has a contract in process and that its first disbursement is pending additional data; the county's contract totals $35,000 and staff described the payment as split into two installments. McKernan also noted the IRIS Family Resource Center is open in "Lake And Erie" (as stated in the briefing), and that a new public-health nurse will support case management and a maternal-child health program now being organized. She added the county has placed blood-pressure monitoring hubs with the American Heart Association at several locations and cited inspection work and sampling performed across county pools.
