On June 23 the Cleveland County commissioners awarded BID #SHE-2152 for detainee safety monitoring to Custody Protect 4 Sight Labs, Inc., and awarded BID #SHE-2157 to Service Wing Organic Solutions, LLC, to purchase and install a hypochlorous acid generator at the F. DeWayne Beggs Detention Center. Both awards were made upon the recommendation of Purchasing and carried by unanimous vote.
During the same meeting Purchasing Officer Keri Lyles opened multiple bids the board accepted for tabulation and qualification: BID #CC-2154 (Court Clerk breakroom and civil clerk area remodel) and BID #SHE-2158/2159 (one-year inmate food and inmate commissary services). Vendors who submitted bids included LG Contracting & Building LLC; Precision Builders LLC; Sun Construction Services; Benchmark Government Solutions; Trinity Services Group, Inc.; Keefe Commissary Network, LLC; Commissary Express Inc.; and others. Commissioners deferred award decisions on those items and instructed Purchasing to present a tabulation and qualification report at a later meeting.
The board also postponed awarding or rejecting bids for BID #BE-2155 (one-year building maintenance supplies contract) and directed that decisions on that procurement be returned to the board after further review. The meeting minutes record that all motions to award and to postpone were carried by a 3–0 vote.
