The Port Ludlow Village Council unanimously approved the prior meeting minutes and voted to approve a Portlevel Connects contract with the Bay Club for an event scheduled on Aug. 28. A board member moved to adopt the minutes and the motion was seconded; the Chair called for a voice vote and members answered "Aye."
"I move that the minutes take effect," one board member said when introducing the minutes for approval, and a second was recorded. The Chair then introduced the Bay Club contract, described it as largely boilerplate and noted that the Bay Club would waive facility fees this year: "They're not going to make a donation to the event, but they are going to 0 out the fees for the facility," the Chair said. Board members discussed the contract's responsibilities but recorded no conflicts and the board approved it by voice vote. The approvals were routine procedural business and no roll-call tallies were recorded in the transcript.
