Utility staff said meter calibration found under‑registering at source meters (wells 2 and 4) and reported that two new ultrasonic flow meters improved accounting; the utility plans an in‑house meter replacement program averaging about one meter per day in 2026 and continued hydrant and lift‑station rehab work.
"And I'm happy for, the installation of our 2 new ultrasonic flow meters, and the numbers immediately look better," the presenter said. He described an ongoing lift‑station rehab program with a goal of overhauling 10 lift stations in 10 years; lift station 11 was brought online with telemetry and station 9 is next on the list.
Staff said the ice‑picking project also accelerated GIS mapping of water mains and assets through a web‑based system (Diamond Maps) and that mapping of sewer assets is under way; the utility intends to share mapping data with other local infrastructure operators, including the golf course. Customers were reminded the utility lacks a large capital reserve and that replacement work is typically phased when failures occur to avoid major service interruptions.
