County planning staff walked attendees through the applicant's site plan and visual simulations for a proposed 150-foot wireless tower on a roughly six-acre site near Port Ludlow.
"It's a 6 acre site... they're gonna keep all the trees," the planner (speaker 2) said while describing the site plan and the 50-by-50-foot compound where cabinets and equipment will be located. He also noted that the applicant shows Verizon at the top of the tower and that the design reserves space for three additional carriers to co-locate.
Staff emphasized that the applicant must demonstrate how the proposal meets the conditional use permit criteria in County Code and that the hearing examiner will evaluate the application using the staff report and the record. The presentation included scatter plots showing predicted coverage improvements for Verizon specifically; staff said other carriers would provide their own coverage plots if they later co-locate.
