The board removed the protest filed for Thomas and Aspen Madden (Account No. 76656; 7851 120th Ave NE) from the June 24 agenda after being advised the owners failed to appear at a June 12 hearing and informed the County Clerk by email that they would not attend. Deputy County Clerk Rebecca Pfeiffer received an email from Mr. Madden before the meeting indicating he could not be present.
On the recommendation of Assistant District Attorney Robin Moore, Member John Wullich moved, seconded by Chairman Chuck R. Thompson, to strike the item; the motion carried with both members voting yes. The minutes note the prior June 12 scheduling and the June 10 email notification to the County Clerk's office.
