The Wayne County Industrial Development Agency (WCIDA) Board on March 24 authorized the disposition of the Butler Correctional Facility to Westbury Lands, LLC, approving a resolution that moves a revised Purchase and Sale Agreement toward closing.
Executive Director Brian Pincelli told the board there have been ongoing meetings with Westbury Lands and that the Purchase and Sale Agreement has been revised to make progress toward a closing. Legal Counsel John Morell stated that "the property will be purchased for $100,000." Kaye Stone-Gansz moved to approve the authorizing resolution and Chairperson David Fantuzzo seconded; all five members present voted in favor.
The approval establishes the board's authorization to proceed with the disposition; the record does not specify a closing date. The board is next scheduled to meet on April 20, 2026.
