Commissioners approve wide set of capital reallocation requests, moving funds to parks, safety and facility projects

At the May 6 meeting the Campbell County Board of Commissioners approved a series of capital change requests reallocating previously approved project funds to a variety of county needs. Several transfers redistributed money from the Detention Center Cell Doors Project and the Pronghorn Sewer Project to other priority items.
Among the approvals: $225,000 was moved from the Detention Center Cell Doors Project to the Southern Drive Bike Path Overlay Project; $200,000 was reallocated to Courthouse coolant line repairs; $70,000 moved to purchase bulk cameras; $50,000 to purchase bulk LED lighting; $150,000 was reallocated from Pronghorn Sewer to Bicentennial Ballfield drainage and repaving (including a storm shelter and geogrid installation); and $155,609 was transferred to Landfill design work to include a backup generator and asbestos removal assessments. Each motion was moved and seconded and recorded as unanimous: "All voted Aye. Motion carried."
The board also approved a smaller capital purchase for the Coroner’s Office — a 30" Prime Big Wheel stretcher from Stryker Sales LLC with a $7,593.85 transfer into capital outlay — and other project‑level adjustments. Several capital requests were approved in sequence; one capital request for Landfill Shop Expansion design (transfer $75,000) was tabled later in the meeting.
