Superintendent Powell told trustees the district is facing a roughly 20% increase in its commercial insurance premium and recommended renewing the policy. "There is an increase in the premium of 20%. The increase is attributed to the property values," Powell said during the meeting.
Trustee Nathan Kirby moved to approve the renewal and Kassie Greenwood seconded; the roll-call vote was unanimous. The Board approved the renewal without further amendment or public discussion.
