Item 10C1 authorizes a five-year contract with Davenport Group Inc. for an Adele Power Scale Apex subscription costing $781,110.86 in total (about $168,351.36 per year). Staff said the move will save roughly $781,000 over five years compared with the current solution. Item 10C2 authorizes a three-year Davenport contract for Dell VX rail virtualization infrastructure totaling $2,510,872; staff presented this as a three-year savings of about $1,170,000.
IT Director Greg described the technical benefits, including node-based virtualization, reduced downtime on maintenance and replication across sites for backup and recovery. Council members praised the procurement for cost savings and modernization; both contracts were moved, seconded and carried.
