The City Council voted to concur with actions by the Industrial Development Board to transfer land for school uses and facilities.
Under Resolution 10A1 the council approved selling approximately 94.82 acres on Evans Court to the Auburn City Board of Education for $2,844,300; staff said the transfer is intended to support a new bus facility and other maintenance buildings. Under Resolution 10A2 the council approved acquiring about 0.5 acre at 1715 Pumphrey Avenue from the Auburn City Board of Education for $50,000 to expand the Vinckelman facility adjacent to that property.
Both items were moved, seconded and carried on voice vote during the meeting. City staff presented the parcels and the intended uses; council offered no amendments and the motions passed.
