County to use trail impact fees to match SCDOT East Coast Greenway grant for Carolina Forest segment

The funding would connect frontage road sections and extend the multiuse path to River Oaks Drive under the SCDOT grant terms.
Councilmembers approved the staff recommendation and seconded the motion; staff said the balance of the match would come from a previously established grants match fund. The action advances design and construction of the phase 1 multiuse path in Carolina Forest.
